We are currently raising funds to install Solar panels at Old MacDonald’s Farm.  The Quoted cost is somewhere in the region of £10.000.  Costs are escalating in Zambia even higher than in the UK. When the MacDonald's moved to the farm in 2009 they were paying ZMK80 per month for electricity – it is now over ZMK8000!

If you would like to donate to this project, however small, please do so through the usual channels, quoting ‘Solar’ as a reference.

Zambian Education and Medical Support

Welcome to the Zambian Education and Medical Support Website

ZEMS is involved in the funding for a number of projects across Zambia, where there is Christian leadership and teaching.

You can find more information about the projects we support by following the links on our 'PROJECTS' page.

Details about how to support work which ZEMS is involved in can be found on our 'SUPPORT' page

Our Beginning

'Zambian Education and Medical Support' was set up in June 2015 to support various Christian projects in Zambia. Two of the trustees have visited Zambia a number of times and have witnessed first hand the work going on there including 'Old MacDonald's Farm', and 'Tembenukani School'. They became aware of the need to find a way to channel funds from willing donors in the UK to the 'Orphans, vulnerable children and young people' helped by these projects, especially in Lusaka. The other two trustees have taken an interest and been supportive of the works for a number of years.

Our Aim

Our aim is to provide financial support to the local organisations which are doing Christian Community work on the ground, providing access to basic health care, education and nutrition. And also to spread the 'Good News' of the gospel of Jesus Christ in a very practical way. See our projects page for the main areas of support.
Zambian Education and Medical Support is a registered charity no: 1162951.
